ABOUT US
Music Education Group, Inc, is an Atlanta-based STEAM 501(c3) whose mission is to teach students life skills and career development through music, film and digital media. MEG was formed to bring music, film and digital media-based education to underserved youth and provide every child in Metro Atlanta with an equal opportunity for music education. Together with over 48 dedicated community and corporate partners, sponsors and volunteers, we provide young people with hands-on, technology-based programs inspired by music related careers.
The Music Education Group (MEG) was originally formed in 2006. Since that time, it has expanded to provide services to inspire youth to learn and lead through music in Fulton, Cobb, Gwinnett, and Henry counties. In addition to our work with the City of Atlanta, MEG’s signature programs include: Career & Coding Academy (in partnership with Georgia Tech), More to Music Initiative, Student Engineer Program, MEG Master Class, and MEG Live Sessions. Our partnerships have allowed us to provide programs and services to more than 5,000 youth annually.
The Music Education’s Group’s Core Values Are:
-
Relationships: With our partners, students and the communities we serve
• Inclusiveness: With our collaborators, their diverse backgrounds and ideas
